Technical architecture
The module uses exclusively the official PrestaShop hook system. No core file is ever overwritten. Update PrestaShop freely, without conflicts.
The asymmetric RS256 signature guarantees the licence is authentic. Verification is local: the module works even offline during the configured grace period.

Frequently asked questions
Yes. Astramatomo is the bridge between PrestaShop and Matomo: you need an already active Matomo instance (self-hosted or cloud). If you don't have one, you can install Matomo for free on your server — it's open source. Once active, you configure the URL, Site ID and optionally the API token in Astramatomo, and the connection is immediate.
When you enable cookieless mode in Astramatomo, Matomo deposits no tracking cookies. The guidelines of the European and Italian Data Protection Authority provide that anonymised tracking without cookies does not require consent. However, every legal situation is different: we recommend verifying with your legal counsel or DPO based on your specific case. The point is that you finally have a tool that can work without consent — something GA4 can never do.
The annual licence at €99 includes: full use of the module for 1 PrestaShop store, all updates released during the period, access to the Astralith Update Center, technical support and all future improvements. On renewal, the price is the same. There are no hidden costs or additional premium features to pay for.
Yes. Astramatomo is developed and tested on PrestaShop 8.x and 9.x. The compatibility declaration in the module covers from PS 8.0.0 up to 9.99.99. Thanks to the hook-only architecture, the module is resilient to core updates and remains compatible with future versions.
The licence system includes a controlled grace period. Upon expiry, the module enters a configured grace period — during which it continues to work — then deactivates. There is never a sudden "fail-open" that leaves the module running indefinitely without a valid licence: the management is transparent and predictable. You receive advance communications about expiry so you can renew calmly.
The standard licence covers 1 PrestaShop store. If you manage multiple stores, you need a licence for each one. Contact us if you have specific needs for agencies or multi-shop installations: we can evaluate dedicated solutions.
Yes. Astramatomo integrates a dashboard widget directly in the PrestaShop back office (in the statistics panel and the main dashboard). You can choose to show or hide it, and customise the column display. For advanced analysis, the native Matomo interface is always available.
