Frequently asked questions

Have questions?
Here are the answers.

How is inventory value calculated?

For each product or combination, the module multiplies physical quantity by the unit purchase cost excluding VAT. Positive quantities are counted, while negative quantities count as zero. Calculations use full precision, while displayed amounts are rounded according to the store currency.

Is a product assigned to multiple categories counted more than once?

No. Primary-category totals break down the overall value without counting products assigned to multiple categories more than once, so the sum remains consistent with the actual inventory value.

How does it handle product combinations?

The module uses the combination purchase cost. If it is not set for that combination, it automatically applies the product purchase cost. In the inventory details, you can always see which combination you are evaluating.

What does “missing costs” mean?

These are stock rows with a purchase cost of zero. Because that cost makes the row value zero, the analysis may be incomplete. The module shows how many there are, so you can complete the costs in PrestaShop and obtain a more accurate value.

Are digital products included?

By default, no: digital products are excluded from the analysis. You can choose to include them if needed.

What is not included in the current version?

Version 1.3.3 shows the current inventory situation using the purchase costs recorded in PrestaShop. It does not include valuation history, CSV/Excel/PDF exports, lot or expiration-date management, FIFO/LIFO or weighted-average costing, supplier orders, or quantity adjustments. It is an analysis tool: it does not modify inventory quantities.

Which PrestaShop versions is it compatible with?

Declared compatibility is with PrestaShop 8.2 and 9.

What does the license include?

The Astralith license links usage to the authorized store and grants access to the inventory tool; if the license is not valid for use, access is blocked. It also includes the integrated Update Center, which lets you check from the back office for updates published on the Astralith server.
